After a gruelling full day of intense auditions, the judges of ‘You Got Talent?’ determined the 18 finalists that will move on to the live stage show this Saturday, November 22. Judges were faced with a challenging task of choosing the most entertaining acts that will compete for the cash prize and the opportunity for major international exposure. The judges, including experienced performers, directors and talent coaches Jackie Dack, Gloria McGlone and Remardo Russell, reviewed the diverse competitors that took the stage under the lights of the Regency Theatre in Freeport, Grand Bahama, Bahamas.

"I was very excited by what we saw today," judge and co-producer Jackie Dack said following the auditions. "We had a range of ages from seven to 57, we saw people who had experience and training, and we saw people who had never had a lesson in their lives or had never performed in front of anyone before. What was great was seeing talent coming from the most unexpected places," Dack said.

“I am very confident that the show on Saturday night will be fantastic,” Dack said of the upcoming final competition to be held this Saturday. “We have a strong variety of performers which will be great for the televised audience as they see all 18 acts competing head-to-head. I am very glad it is the audience who votes for the winner as that will be a tough job with so many great acts.”

The 18 most entertaining acts chosen are, in alphabetical order:

Do you sing in the shower?  Make your class laugh?  Love the sound of your choir or band?  Have you, or anyone you know, got talent?  That is the question that will be asked next month by the Nation’s first ever televised talent competition and show at the Regency Theatre.

Jack Russell Productions, the team behind “That’s Chicago,” as well as the Freeport Players’ Guild are gearing up to make this an incredibly special event for everyone to enjoy.

Director, Jackie Dack, said, ‘It is incredible how much talent we have on this island.  We have world class people who deserve to be given a chance on an international level. The winning act will have a DVD of their act, professionally produced by Keen i Media Ltd, sent to a guaranteed viewing by two top casting directors in Los Angeles based agencies as well as receiving $500.’

Producer for stage and television, Erik Russell, said, ‘We are inviting absolutely everyone and anyone to turn up at 10:00am, Saturday 15th November, at the Regency Theatre, for the preliminary round of auditions. The most entertaining 18 acts will be chosen to take part in the semi-finals, which will be recorded for television, in front of a live audience on Saturday 22nd November.  The judges will determine the top four acts to proceed to the finals.  The audience will then vote live for the overall winner.’

Dack continued, ‘This competition is open to all different types of acts, from church choirs to rappers, singers, dancers and comedians, AKON to Andrew Lloyd Webber lovers.   Anyone who thinks they have a talent for singing can turn up and sing their favourite song a cappella or to an instrumental backing track, do a little dance or, if you have a full production number ready to rock or rap, then let it roll.  Our tech crew will be on hand to help people sound and look as great as possible.  We want to create the most spectacular show for the audience here in Grand Bahama and we want to show off to the rest of the world.’
